How to get there . . .

By road, the M5, from Salima or Nkhata Bay). The properties are only 300m from this main road on a simple lane to the beach, through cassava fields.

There is a simple airstrip at Chintheche (check its status/condition with Civil Aviation) which can be suitable for small aircraft and private charters.

Kamuzu International Airport at Lilongwe is 30 minutes away by air or a little over four hours by road through the Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve or via Salima.

Chintheche is an hour’s drive from Mzuzu, the fast growing main city of northern Malawi, on a lovely scenic route winding down the shoulder of the Great Rift Valley, passing banana and rubber plantations, rice paddies, tea and coffee estates.

Mzuzu’s tiny airport is often served, again, by the newly restructured and Ethiopian Airlines-managed Malawian Airlines and local charter operators.
